Aardman!

Hey guys,

It feels like it’s been forever! So sorry I haven’t done an update in ages, I’ve been super busy… and I shall tell you why!

I have recently started working with the company Aardman; I’m sure you know who they are already but if you don’t, they’re the people that make Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run etc. I have been working as a song writer for them and we recently made the programme “Ricky’s Radical Reinventions”  for CBBC.

The show was a lot of fun to make, I’ve been working with some awesome people, having insanely long writing sessions with the presenter of the show Ricky and, because I worked as an engineer for the programme as well, I was able to help out with the filming of the programme as well as the music. Plus we have brought back Morph and Chas to your screens!

If you missed the show on CBBC just Google Ricky’s Radical Reinventions and it’ll be on iPlayer and other things so you’ll be able to find it somewhere! Hopefully we’ll be able to make more episodes of R3 in the not too distant future, so I will keep you posted!

Here’s a few pictures I’ve taken throughout the whole process:

Photography Exhibition + Gigs!!

Hey guys,

Me and my friend Georgia are running a photography exhibition of some of our photography from the past few years as part of the Sherston Arts Festival tomorrow [Saturday 8th October '11] and next Saturday and Sunday! It’s going to be really wicked and we’re both really looking forward to it!

It’s FREE to come have a look round, so please feel free to come check it out! It’s going to be held at 17 High St, Sherston, Wilts from 9am-1pm. Hope to see some of you there!

Also, I am going to be doing a few music performances as part of the festival too. Tomorrow evening I am playing a few songs from my album at the Young Musician’s Concert at the Village Hall. I am also going to be playing with my friends’ band “Case Study”. Their lead guitarist dropped out so I’m just standing in, but it’s going to be a laugh! I believe it to be sold out however you never know so do try pop down; it’s always a fun night!

Next Saturday I am also going to be playing a set at the church in Sherston. It’s going to be a magical night; I can’t wait to sing in a church, it’s going to be amazing! There are some other really amazing acts playing so do try and come along to that one if you can!

Aside from that I hope you are all well, and looking forward to seeing some of you over the next few weeks!

Brand Spanking New Website AND Album!! You Lucky Dogs!

That’s right, it’s finally here! After a long time coming my official website is finally up and running and I’m LOVIN’ it! Sorry it’s taken so long to get up; we’ve had a few issues on the way but with a big of jiggery-pokery (and a very clever friend) it’s now all up and (hopefully) running smoothly!

A BIG shout out has to go to my main man Sam Stephenson for constructing this website with nothing more than my bollocks-ramblings to go by! And considering his salary was no more than a free copy of my album, the overall outcome (and time put into it on Sam’s part ) has exceeded anything I was expecting! So thanks so much buddy!

Along with that you may have noticed that my album “Brown Eyed Soldier” has FINALLY been released! That really has been a long time coming (those who have known me for some time will know I’ve been promising this album for the best part of 5 years now!) and I can’t believe it’s finally happened!

If you wanna get hold of a copy you can buy the hard copies here from this website, or you can download it from pretty much all the main music download websites!

I’m hoping to post updates on here whenever I can/whenever anything exciting happens; I can add pictures and all sorts onto here so I’ll try and put up as much as possible! And along with YouTube, Twitter and the like, I’m now going to be coming at you from all sides (easy tiger! ). But also if I just find something cool I’ll post it as well!

One last thing, I LOVE meeting and talking to new people, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch; whether it’s via Twitter or the contact form on here or whatever it doesn’t matter, if you wanna chat then I’m all ears!

Well… I think that’s me done for my first post on here, hope you guys like the album and the website!

Loves,
Charli x

About

CharliCharli Shephard [7.8.94] is a teenage singer/songwriter from the little town of Malmesbury in Wiltshire in the southwest of England. Coming from a musical family she started singing at a young age and first learnt guitar at the tender age of 11. Now 17 she has since taught herself piano, drums and bass and has also expanded her musical interests so that not only has she become a gifted songwriter but is also a talented studio producer and engineer as well as a live sound engineer.

Her wide musical interests and skill set meant that on her self-released debut album Brown Eyed Soldier she was able to write and perform every instrument on every track as well as engineer and produce it herself in her home recording studio.

With a powerful voice, catchy songs and a charming live performance she is a familiar face in the local music scene, and with her online networking and music promotion she will soon be embarking on what we hope to be an exciting career in music.
